
Wandering round the city today, the biggest sign of World Cup fever I found was this gang of Panini sticker collectors.
At least 80 people were circulating with A4 lists of swaps and needs on a street corner in the Boa Viagem area. And most of them were adults. And probably half were women.
Jorge, pictured above in the shirt of local side Bahia, was selling his for two reals each. That’s about 50p each.
And in the picture below, absolutely everyone was bartering stickers. And very peacefully too.
